FAQ’s
-
This is really dependent on what you are trying to address and what support you require. In most cases, 3-4 follow up consultations is sufficient but for some people we will need to work together for 6-12 months.
-
Not at all! We do encourage everyone to do general blood testing but further functional testing is optional - we will communicate to you if we think it would be beneficial.
-
Yes, please do! Send these through to us prior to your initial consultation. We tend to interpret bloods differently to how your GP would - from an optimal lens as opposed to a sickness lens - so even if you’ve been told they’re all ‘normal’ we would still appreciate seeing them.
-
We can interpret general blood tests as well as functional tests like stool analyses, DUTCH tests, food intolerance tests, saliva tests and breath tests. These all come at an additional cost and are totally optional.
-
Yes. Supplements are also optional but if we think they will be helpful in your health journey we will help you understand why and organise the right supplements for you. In many cases, store bought supplements are poor quality and although often cheaper not worth your money. Some supplements recommended will be short-term and others will be encouraged in the long-term for maintenance/preventative purposes.
-
We will send you a health plan which always involves dietary and lifestyle advice but can also involve supplement and testing advice. Often supplement recommendations will come after we have seen test results. You will also receive a general dietary guideline and supporting documents depending on your health goals.
-
Yes, there’s limited support. We are happy to answer short questions about your health plan but detailed questions about your symptoms/progress will need to be saved for your next appointment - which you can bring forward if necessary.
-
No - any advice regarding medications needs to be given by your Doctor.
-
We require upfront payment for the initial appointment at the time of booking. You will receive an invoice for any follow up appointments which needs to be paid within 3 working days.
-
Yes you can provided you give us 48 hours notice. Any changes within this time will incur a 50% fee and if you fail to show up to your appointment you will be charged the full amount. Of course, sickness and emergencies are different.
-
Not at all! There is no disadvantage as we can organise everything necessary online from a distance. We can work with you no matter where you are
-
No, these are an additional cost.
-
We can’t stop you from doing this but for best results we would encourage you to use what we have recommended as we know the quality and effectiveness of these supplements. Many off the shelf brands will be cheaper but they are in poorly absorbed forms and at a very low dose.

This depends on your health insurance policy. Grace is registered with the Clinical Nutrition Association which is partnered with South Cross Health Insurance.
